I am a great grand daughter of George Washington Wilcox, son of Mary Belle Smoke. I’m not sure of George Washington Wilcox’s fathers name.
From what I was told Mary Belle was a seamstress and traveled taking orders, go home (New York), make the clothing and return to deliver when the clothing was finished.
George Washington Wilcox (son) married Bertha Ward (Hay) Wilcox.
