Have a g-g-grandfather Elisha Jones (s/oWilliam Jones & Sinah Conner) whose grandfather was (part-blood?) native american. Elisha & his parents were all born in Warren Co. GA. The only clue I have is the 1850 Census in Lannahassee, Stewart. co, GA showing Elisha & his siblings/parents. One of Elisha’s sisters is named Laquah (similar to a Cherokee name for Laura). The family is in Lee co. Ga by 1840 & appear to be in Warren co. GA in 1830. William Jones seems to be on the Land lottery of 1827.
