My third great grandmother had a sister named Wilmith Mahala Fields who married Jacob Foster and it has been said that Wilmith was removed from the Cherokee’s because of this marriage. I had alway heard growing up that there was Indian blood in our family. If Wilmith was a Cheokee indian, it is probable that her sister (my gg grandmother) was also. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thier parents were William Fields and Nancy Jane Manis and migrated to Indiana from Hawkins County, TN
