I am looking for the ancestors of Mary Jane Whitecotton, married to Joseph Whitecotton in 1882, in Arkansas. She was born in Tennessee in the 1850’s. Her marriage license said, “Mrs. Mary Henderson.” This indicates she was married previously. I have not found her on any census records previous to 1890. I have not found a record of her marriage previous to marrying Joseph Whitecotton.
