Vann off shoot Family Info

July 6, 2020 by jennharkey Leave a Comment

I have been doing some research about my family and found that my Great x4 Grandmother Lucinda Maney Hensley (1803-1898) Was Cherokee. I have found a bit about her parents and grandparents but am hoping to go back farther. Lucinda married William Allison “Black Bill” Hensley and they had a daughter named Elizabeth. Lucinda’s parents were Martin Maney Sr (1748-1830) and Keziah Vann (1745-1849). Keziah’s parents are John Joseph Vann III (1746-1815) and Agnes Ruth Weatherford (1745-1849). Johns Parents are John ” Trader” Vann (1715-1767) and Elizabeth Raven-Hop Hughes? or Moytoy? (1726-1819) This is the one I want to know more info about. She was born in Tellico Plains, TN and dies in Georgia. I was wondering if she is linked to the Moytoy’s that I keep readind about from the 1800’s. Also I have John “Trader” Vann’s parents, John “Trader” U WaNi Vann and Mary Wa’Li’. I dont have any information about them other than they lived in the Monroe area of TN. PLease let me know if you have anymore information and I hope I can help some of you guys out!!! Please feel free to contact me! jennharkey@gmail.com
