Looking for information on Morning Star/Morning Starr who was a Cherokee Indian who lived with her Cherokee people in a village on Little Rock Creek, NC in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. She married David Vance, born 1798. They had four children, David, Abner, Virginia Jane, and Delila. Been to NC and they said they didn’t keep records on Indians that far back. Can’t find a marriage record but there was a marriage ceremony done but the white man would not accept it. David brought her to TN where the four children was born.
