Searching for any details of Joseph Robert Smith (d. 1944), who married Janie Arabelle Smith (1885-1936). He was 1/2 Cherokee. Not sure if he died in Louisiana or Texas. They had a son (my grandfather) Willard Extal (not sure of the spelling) Smith (d. Nov 1959 in a car wreck) & a daughter Francis Victoria Smith. Joseph’s wife, Janie Arabelle Smith’s parents were William Isaiah Smith (b. 1853 in Barbour, Alabama & d. 1890 in Texas) & Sally Francis Morris. If anyone can supply ANY information about Joseph, it would be greatly appreciated.
