I am looking for information about my ancestor Holden Gate May 1797-1846. I believe his family passed through Henry County TN in the early 1800’s before or after 1817. He got separated from his family and was found and adopted by a white family named May. Adoptive parents were Samuel May 1770-1812 and Mary Ann Sevier May 1772-1853. He had no known name. Am looking for information about fate of real relatives. Also looking for any known descendants in Oklahoma today. If anyone knows anything,Please post it in comments.
