Plez (Bog) Bolden

November 5, 2014 by memawlee 1 Comment

I’m looking for information about my grandfather. He is listed in the 1920 census as Plez Bolden, race Indian. Family members state that he was Cherokee. He came from eastern Tennessee and moved as an adult to Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. His surname might have been spelled different – Bolding or Boulden. Plez was a shortened form of Pleasant. He had a brother names Jake.

Looking for information on a Virginia (Ginny) Wasson born in Pocahontas Ark. Her maiden name was Wadley. She was said to be full Cherokee. John Wasson was said to be Choctaw. If have any info would be great.
