I’m looking to find info on my great grandmother. Her name at birth was Mary Ellen Roseberry. She married William Jesse Owens in 1920. We were told growing up that we were part Cherokee & got it from Mary Ellen. I’m curious to find out if this is the case, I’m trying to learn more about our family heritage.
