King is the maiden name of my grandmother (Anna Belle King-Hudnall), her mother was Mary Martha Berry. I was always told that my ggrandmother was an “Indian squaw”. Mary Martha’s husband was a Charles John King….and I have tried to research to see what tribe she belonged to. They had definate Indian features — black hair that didn’t turn gray, high cheekbones but small to average in bone structure, dark eyes. Would this be the same King family? They lived in Kanawha County, WV. Mary Martha was born in 1849, died in 1932 in same county.
