Mouervie Patterson

June 20, 2016 by belindablu28 2 Comments

Its really hard to find her. My grandma said her grandma Mouervie/Missouri Patterson (married name) is either full or half Cherokee. I’m not completely sure if she was born in Georgia or Alabama. She use to travel between La Grange, Ga and Chambers, Alabama.

I found a Mouervie Patterson in the 1920 U.S. Federal Census married to Douglas Patterson. They are listed on the census as “B” meaning black. Is this her? It’s such an unusual name…
