Looking for validation of ancestry in Cherokee Tribe

I am researching our family history. I was told that we were part Cherokee. Looking for some validity to this. Apparently, my now deceased grandmother and her daughter use to receive payment from the tribe. My grandmother’s maiden name is Mable Blair, her mother’s name was Mattie Blair or Henderson and now I am hearing Woodard as well. My grandmother Mable Blair was born 1/9/1911 in either Kansas City KS or Kansas City Missouri. There has been some mention of relatives in Oklahoma as well.
