Searching for possible members of Staggs side of family. Don’t know any past 2 generations from Texas. Up to great grandpa is all knowledge I have. Truly want to know all I can about my Native American heritage. Please help!

I also have Staggs ancestors (originated in Tennessee). My relatives lived for a time in Parke County Indiana (although I have heard some went to Texas). My Stagg’s side married into the Shaw family. My Shaw/Staggs side moved to Missouri. My great-great Grandparents were Mahala Stagg’s (parents were John Staggs and Jane) & Stephen P. Shaw (parents were William B. Shaw & Jennie “Jinnat” McCorkle). Would love to exchange info. My parents, and aunts told us all our lives about our Cherokee ancestry. I have Cherokee ancestry, but can’t seem to find anything. Did 2 DNA tests (results are that I am between 1/8th Native American & 1/4th native American, also East Asian & Caucasian). Have hit some brick walls. You can email me at memaw2008@comcast.net
