My grandfather told the story that his grandmother Nancy Hunter, who was the daughter of Redding Hunter of NC who migrated to South GA in the 1820’s was a kidnapped Cherokee child. I know there would be no record of that, but I would like to find out how to go about investigating if this could have happened.
