I am looking for information on my great-great grandmother, Julia Elizabeth Cole. She was born in Arkansas in July of 1893. I am told that she was full blood Cherokee or Cherokee/Blackfoot. I believe her relative is Lief (Leif) Cole, though I’m not sure how he’s related, possibly her father. She married John Arthur Cloud, and she passed away on January 23, 2000 in Lonoke, Arkansas. All of what I know is hear say, and I would like to know my lineage.

From my research I believe that her name was just Lizzie Cole Cloud. Her obituary and her tombstone only ready Lizzie Cloud. The problem, I believe, was that there were two women who went by Lizzie Cloud in Arkansas at the same time- one was Julia Elizabeth Cloud and the other was my grandmother, Lizzie Cole Cloud. I have some pictures of her and her daughter. IF anyone has any information, please email me.
Julie Ann Elizabeth Cole Cloud was my grandmother. She was married to John Arthur Cloud and had a brother Lee Cole and a sister Ella Cole Wilson. “Lizzie” and John had 7 living children. Sons: Willie, Grover, Tom, Junior and Cecil. Daughters: Lillian Cloud Hooks and Ruby Cloud Carter. There was no other Lizzie Cloud, she was the only one in the area. Born in 1893 and died in January 2000 and was buried in Flynn Cemetary.

I actually got to meet Lizzie Cloud in the 1990’s. I wish I had asked her questions about her parents. My grandfather insists that it was not the William Cole and Betty Mae Allen that most people say.
