John Gunter

February 12, 2019 by tigrelily 1 Comment

Is there any way to know if my 2nd great grandfather, John Gunter is related to the one that established a relationship with a Cherokee tribe? I cannot confirm his birth year but his tombstone says 1834. His first appearance on a census in our records show him living at 10 years old, as a farmhand in St. Claire Alabama. So parent names are unknown. Therefore his real name, I suppose could also be questioned.

Is 1834 his death date? Your info is to vague to research. I have a John Edward Gunter jr 1750 to 1835 in my line. And he is related to Gunters of Gunterville Alabama.
