John Arthur Cloud was born February 4, 1891 to William Cloud, JR. (1859) and Annie Wilson (1873). He has a draft registration for WWII. He married Lizzie Cole on November 12, 1911. They had William, Grover, Clarence, Ruby, Lillian, Thomas, John Jr, and Cecil. He died in 1959.
William R Cloud, Jr was born to William R Cloud, Sr. (1812) and Annie Wilson (1873) in Alabama. He married Annie Wilson on September 19, 1889 in Lonoke, Arkansas. They had Winfield, William, Ann, John A, and Floyd.
William R Cloud, Sr was a farmer born in 1812-1813 in Alabama to William A Cloud and Sarah Collins. He married Lucinda Maddox who was born in Arkansas, and they had Eliza, Emily, Elizabeth, Winfield, William, Thomas, and James, all born in Arkansas.
His daughter, Ruby Cloud Carter, is my great grandmother.
I grew up hearing how Lizzie Cole met John on a reservation in Oklahoma and they married. I’ve been searching for information about her side of the family. Lizzie was born around September 10, 1893 (exact date is fuzzy and I’ve seen many ranging from September to October and 1893 to 1896; presumably in Oklahoma) and she died on January 23, 2000 in Lumnoke, Arkansas.
