Great-Grandfathers Cherokee Ancestory

September 28, 2020 by motengator Leave a Comment

My grandfathers name was John Carson Reaves, lived in Missouri and Kansas. He was supposed to be of Cherokee ancestry. My Great-Great Grandfather was William Henderson Reaves, born in Kentucky and lived in Missouri. My DNA test shows no trace of Native American blood. I can’t find any record on any rolls and census. My family tree shows Cherokee and Shawnee ancestors back to Pride Cornstalk Corn Planter Carpenter, who is my 9th Great-Grandmother. Chief Cornstalk, Strongman Cornstalk is my 13tnh cousin.
