Joseph J Starr named George Starr as his daddy in his 1936 interview. Elsa E Starr is on the Tennessee payment records listed as E Starr and The Going Starr, along with all the Cherokee Starr families (mainly Caleb).
Ancestry and my heritage dna tests I have taken link Joseph J. And Elsa as brother and sister. George IS IN FACT Elsa’s daddy!
He even died in the same year and same place as Elsa’s husband Chaske, 1855 Newton County Missouri. I can easily prove George was Elsa’s daddy.
The hard part is figuring out Elsa’s mother.. Here is my dilemma:
1. E ya gu Gist-Guess comes up as her momma and I’m linked to Sequoya by dna. However, E Ya Gu was born in 1830, and Elsa was born in 1781..
2. Elisa Sixkiller also comes up as Elsa’s mother, and THAT makes sense as Elisa and George were both born in 1760 and I am also dna linked to Oo Ka War Dar.
I’m thinking Elsa’s momma is Elisa Sixkiller, but Elisa the firstborn Sixkiller matriarch did not live very long, says she died in her twenties and there is no history on her that I can find..
I do not know who my biological father is, so that could be how I match with Sequoya by dna-idk..
Anybody who knows anything about Elisa Sixkiller would be really appreciated to educate me. Elsie E Starr and Elisa Sixkiller are some of the hardest records I have tried to find on any of my native ancestors..
Please help.:)

Too bad I cannot leave pictures on here.. got a 9 cm match on ancestry with currently living cousin of mine Edward Starr who has had all males in his line from James McMinn Starr whose daddy was assassinated in the Cherokee Civil War. James McMinn all the way to Herschel Starr who died fighting for freedom on the beaches of Normandy-father of my cousin Edward. 9cm is indisputable. George Starr was Elizabeth Elsie Starr’s daddy. And James Starr was her brother. I now have DNA evidence. First Families.

I too am stuck on Eliza Sixkiller and daughter Elsie Starr. They are my 5th and 6th great grandmother. Ancestry is hard to navigate and it’s got me confused. Have you had any luck in your search?
