Finding my Roots – Mallow family – WV

February 28, 2022 by aevans02 1 Comment

Hi, I’m tracing my roots to my Native American lineage. I carry this with me. I feel it in my soul. I have one photo of my great great grandad. His name was Jacob Wesley Mallow 1873–1964 his wife was Annie Jamima Stonestreet Mallow 1871–1952. Jacobs parents were George Washington Mallow
1848–1906
Sarah E. Reed Mallow
1844–1916
Photos are online of the entire lineage.
I’ve always been told he was Cherokee. His daughter was Ethel my great grandma.

    hello!
I must be your distant cousin!
George Washington ” Washington” Mallow was also my gggg grandfather. He does, in fact look dark complected to me as well. I have not heard of the Cherokee connection but I have heard of the Sephardic Jew connection that I found out as an adult through Sandra Keltner Mallow who is a genealogy teacher and has a website regarding the Mallow family’s ydna( fathers DNA). It’s super interesting. Did you ever find any other information out? Thank you!
