Family History

May 6, 2015 by pinkytwou64 1 Comment

Is there anyone out there that can direct me to web sites or how to or what to look for in finding out my family history. I was adopted in 1964 Cali. I was told my mother was half Cherokee, grandma full. How do I go about finding out this info? Is it public record now? Is there a place or persons that can show me where to go? I know my mothers name, no BD etc…

You know your birth mothers name? The books Cherokee Roots Vol 1 and 2 are great. They give you the rolls back to 1817 and up to the Final Dawes Roll. I have those books if you want me to look for her name or you can get them at Amazon.
