Curry Family

Hi, I a researching the Curry family from Amherst Virginia, I have a ggg uncle who is listed on the Guion Miller Roll, I have found his name there, and he was supposed to have claimed that his grandparents were both half white half Cherokee, does anyone know anything about the Curry Cherokees from this area?
