According to my research Chief Black Fox would be my 6th great grandfather.
His daughter Nancy m. Isaac Cooper
their son Isaac m. Mahala Jane Blevins
thier son William m. Susan Burke
they had Peter Cooper my 2nd great grandfather. He applied to the Cherokee and was denied but since that time according to genealogy his line was proven to connect to Chief Black Fox.
Does that mean Peter Cooper’s descendants are eligible to be accepted to the Cherokee Nation? If so how would the lineage be proven?
