It just said, Sara Gaten Phillips, roll number 177. I found that is a Cherokee Roll Number and on that site it says, Sara Phillips was White, the intermarriage was her claim to a roll number. Also today on the Oklahoma pages about Indian Roll numbers and Intermarriage, it said, if I read it correctly, anyone who was given a roll number via marriage would keep that number in the event of the Indian dying if there were any children resulting from the marriage.
So, we need to connect Sara Gaten Phillips via Louisa A Phillips (her child) via Henry Phillips. This information was given to me by my cousin, I believe it is for my grandfather side, my mothers father. His name was Robert Bloxham.
