Cherokee Indian Chief

June 2, 2019 by NikkiRobinson Leave a Comment

My gggrandfather was an Indian Chief who was hanged for stealing a horse, so the story goes. He lived in either Tennessee or Kentucky. He married a Cherokee woman by the name of Blue Feather. He lived outside but she lived inside a home owned by the last name Reed. She took that name on. I was told her name was changed to Nancy. They were in The Trail Of Tears but escaped into the Mountains. They had a some named James Reed. James had a son named David. I believe his mothers name was Mary or something that started with an M.
I have searching for years to find out what my gggrandfathers name was. I would love any info on this and would also really like to see some photos if possible!
