Alfred was father of my G-grandfather, John Randolph Campbell (1877-1969). We are fairly certain Alfred was not Cherokee, but John’s mother was Sarah C. Rogers (1849-1893) daughter of W.D. Nelson Rogers (1824-1865) and Roseanna West (1815-1869). Sarah had several children from several husbands; Rosa Vaught (1869-1931), Ellen Elizabeth Wilkerson (Wilson?) (1873-1906), Joseph Mires Campbell (1876-1954), John Randolph Campbell (1877-1969), Matthew Campbell (1881-1922), Glenn Campbell (1882- ), Delora Campbell (1886-1960), Colonel Griggs (1890-1974). Trying to find any information on Alfred (Eugene) Campbell. All I have is potential name and born in 1838 and from Indiana.
