To be honest, my ancestry search starts as with many cliche ones do…my mom told me my grandfather said we have Indian in our family. To be even more unsure of things, I am not even sure if our Indian ancestor is even Cherokee. My search has led me to two possible family lines that
I am searching for any information about my ancestor Rachel Viola Whitecloud. She is believed to have been born in Virginia in 1780. She married John Persinger about 1800 in Virginia. She had a daughter Judith (Judy) Persinger in 1810. After the death of John, she married William Allen. She died in Iowa about 1865.
