Looking for my great grandmother’s Cherokee history
Looking for any information about Lessie Moon b 3 Oct 1889/90 Obit states Leon County, mother Sarah ‘Sallie” Frances Karl b. 3 Oct 1860 Tennessee m. unknown Moon. Sarah’s my great grandmother and her child Lessie came to the marriage with Sarah to Levi Boswell Newberry, Callahan Co. Texas. email@example.com
I have been told by my mother and her siblings that my great grandmother was half cherokee and would like to verify. Her father was Morgan Payne born 1847 died 1870.
My great-great grandmother’s name is Alice Deer Walker Hatfield. Her mother’s name is Neptha Walker. Both are reservation-born Cherokee. I would welcome any information on either of them, please.
Her name was Rosa Blackmon. She was married to William Francis Estes @ 1905 in Texas or Oklahoma. She was 100% Cherokee. She had a son Malcolm Allen (Balk) Estes born in 1913 in Hammond, Oklahoma

Checking a family story, my grandmother was named Gladys. Her mother was supposedly a Nancy Bird. She was adopted by a man named Isaac Bennington. Her birth certificate lists “Indian territory Oklahoma” as her birth place.
Hi! Family tradition and a regional history book claim that one of our female ancestors was half Cherokee and half Irish. However, Ancestry.com doesn’t have information on her and a 23andme report actually showed no Native American blood in my grandmother. So, I’m trying to find out if the history book is wrong or if
