I am looking for information on Samuel Lowery b. Dec 9, 1813 d. Jan17, 1896. In an article published by him he writes that he was born and raised in Sequatchie Valley until 1836 when he moved his young family to McClarty Alabama. I have a deed to the farm where he moved and it was a grant but did not state the reason. I would appreciate any help in helping me identify his farther. His wife was Permely Smith from Cherokee territory in north Georgia.
