I am searching for information on John Helton born 1832. He appears in Meigs Co., TN in 1849 where he marries Rebecca Gourley. They are on the 1850 Meigs Co. Census. I can’t find any information past 1849. From dna test and cousins on Ancestry I seem to be in the James Eli Helton, Peter and Susanna Helton, Thomas and Bettie Helton family but I can’t find the connection.
