You have the lines correctly traced here. Where do you get the notion that they were Cherokee?

George W. Norick was born in 1844 in Indiana. Sarah Jane Stephens was born in 1847 in Kentucky. George’s parents go back to old colonial European roots in VA and PA. Sarah’s family goes back to colonial roots as well (PA, Carolinas). There is no Cherokee ancestry in any of these lines, as you continue to move further back.

James Tuttle also comes from colonial roots, but they go back to the northeast. They were not Cherokee.

If you have relatives that are “carded” they would have to be from some other lineage/s, not these Norick or Tuttle ones.
