Elizabeth Taylor

February 7, 2015 by bgordonx2 Leave a Comment

My grandfather, Harold B. Ashworth of Moundsville, WV, always claimed to be one-quarter Cherokee Indian. I believe his mother, Darthula Johnson Ashworth was one-half Cherokee Indian. She was born on 10/18/1887 in Effler, McDowell County, WV to Robert Lee Johnson and his wife Elizabeth Taylor. I believe that Elizabeth Taylor, my great great grandmother was a Cherokee Indian. I am looking for any information about her so we can trace our Cherokee roots!
