Looking for parents of Drury Smith born1809. Family story of Cherokee parent or grandparent. Possibly a Nancy Cherokee (née Burden??) and a liaison with James “1/2 indian” Smith 1786-1830 and a James Gypsy Smith 1755-1831. Any family tree type info appreciated. Not looking for anything but the satisfaction of verifying the stories we heard. South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky. (Descendants in Missouri,Texas, Iowa)
