All Things Cherokee offers in-depth genealogy research services. As owner and operator of All Things Cherokee, I've been working with genealogy records for over ten years. Let me help you trace your family back. The rate for genealogy research is $400 for 6 hours of research.

To order, please fill out the form below with your name, email address, and a detailed description of your family genealogy as far back as you know. Also, please specify what you'd like to learn from the research. When you submit your request, you will be prompted to complete your purchase, this will reserve research time.

FAQs

How much research do you complete for the money?
This fee covers six hours of research. With that time, I will use the information you've provided to attempt to 1) link your family to the Cherokees using the Cherokee rolls, rejection lists from the rolls, and other helpful Cherokee texts, 2) use primary sources to find additional generations in your family tree, and 3) use secondary sources to uncover other potential leads. If, the information you provide does not provide enough for me to build on, I will contact you for additional details.

Can I have research performed on more than one branch of my family tree?
Sure, the fee covers six hours of research, what I research during that period of time is up to you. However, when submitting your research request, please note your preference as to your research priorities. I want to be sure I start with the most important research first. If we run out of time before we get to other branches of the tree, then you will have the option to request more research later.

Do you have a number where I can call you to explain my genealogy needs?
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but it's very important that I have the information in writing. It makes it much easier for me to have your text to refer back to for accurate memory, spelling, etc.

What is your refund policy?
Please understand the fee you pay is for the time it takes me to research your family tree. I do not offer a refund once that research time is completed. However, your satisfaction is very important to me. I will make every effort to help you understand the family tree details I uncover as well as any connection with the tribe and enrollment opportunities. I am always happy to answer follow up questions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay by Visa, Master Card, Discover, Paypal, or check. Simply fill out the form above and make your payment selection on the billing page.

Can I have my results sent by postal mail?
Yes, this requires an additional $10 fee to cover printing and shipping costs. Please note this desire in the "Special Instructions" field on the shopping cart form and I will bill accordingly.

How long will it take to get results?
Currently there is a wait time of between 4-6 weeks, but this can vary depending on my schedule or the volume of requests I have received. If you are concerned about the wait, please contact me to schedule a research time.
