Cherokee Genealogy Research

Have you always heard rumors that your grandmother was Cherokee? Want to know if you are eligible to join the Cherokee Nation or Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians?

Perhaps I can help. As owner and operator of All Things Cherokee, I've been working with genealogy records for over ten years. All I need are a few details about one of your grandparents (whichever one you suspect is Cherokee) and I will determine if you and your family are eligible to enroll with one of the federally-recognized Cherokee tribes.

Services Include:

  • Search of relevant US Census records.
  • Searches of the final Cherokee rolls.
  • Use of primary sources to link your family to Cherokee rolls.
  • Assistance with Cherokee citizenship applications.

This service costs just $50, and you'll receive the information within 10 days.

Interested? Here's how it works.

To begin your search, just complete the form below. Please be detailed -- the more information you can provide the better.

Enter details about your grandparent below. All fields are optional, but highly recommended.

In the field below, please include any additional details that could help with the search as well as any special instructions or questions.

FAQs

Why do you ask for information about one of my grandparents?
The two final rolls were taken in 1896-1907 (Dawes) and 1924 (Baker), generally if you can provide me with the details about an ancestor living in or around 1920, I can search the records to explore their possible link to the Cherokee.

I have more than one grandparent I believe to be Cherokee. Can I search for more than one?
Sure, however, it will be a separate search. Let's start with a search for one grandparent and go from there. When you've received your results you'll have the option of having more research performed.

I'd like to more in-depth research into my family lineage, does this service cover that?
The focus of this research is very specific, intended to determine if you and your family are eligible for citizenship within one of the federally-recognized Cherokee tribes. However, I do offer more in-depth research, so if you'd like to commission genealogy research, please visit this page for details.

Do you have a number where I can call you to explain my genealogy needs?
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience but it's very important that I have the information in writing. It makes it much easier for me to have your text to refer back to for accurate memory, spelling, etc.

What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay by Visa, Master Card, Discover, Paypal, or check. Simply fill out the form above and make your payment selection on the billing page.

Thank you for visiting All Things Cherokee. I hope you will let me help with your genealogy research. If you have any questions about this site or service, please feel free to contact me.
